Since 1997, Eden Aoba Taiko has served as the rhythmic outlet of our community, sharing the thunderous power of Japanese drumming under the dedicated leadership of founder Masa Fukuizumi.
What began as a modest ensemble evolved into a powerhouse of fifty members at its height, uniting generations of drummers ages 6 to 80+. From local festivals and parades to international stages in Japan, Eden Aoba's journey has been defined by an appreciation for Japanese culture and the rhythm of taiko.
Now, as Masa prepares to retire and return to Japan, we invite you to the DOUGLAS MORRISON THEATER in HAYWARD, CA on SATURDAY, MAY 2, 2PM-4PM for a one-time farewell performance. Ticket sales benefit the Eden Japanese Community Center building fund.
Please join us as we honor nearly three decades of heritage, harmony, respect, and the legacy of taiko.
